DOUG LONG has been writing professionally for more than four decades. His postgraduate years were spent as Finance Editor for The Canadian Press, Public Relations Manager for Sun Life of Canada, Associate Editor for Reader's Digest Books and as a Market-maker on the Montreal Exchange. He began freelancing in 1978 and how heads BizNet Communications, which specializes in ad concepts and copy, sales promotion and collateral materials. DOUG has published more than five million words in mainstream media and for such major corporate clients as Johnson & Johnson, Bata, the Royal Bank, BCE Emergis and Standard Life. In his spare time, DOUG writes songs and fiction. His first collection of 55-word short stories, The Fool Who Invented Kissing, was published in March 2102. A second collection of these "Shorties by Long" is in the works.
